From MCN ....The Tenere is coming back after a 10 year absence .... 4 valve engine from MT-03, all new bike with 22l tank. Loads of bolt on goodies will be available, bike will retail at £5000 and will be available from Spring 08.

Looks fab IMO:thumb2

Bollox. Thought I was first with the news:o

My kind of bike tho. Much more practical for the kind of riding I do ... City riding and farm tracks ... half the price of a 1200 ADV ... with real RTW capability and back up.

Hmmmmmmmmmm ............

Crap budget suspension, over weight (a 1200 is not far ahead!), and a steel frame.

Yup, this is a real advance...

Steel frames are good. When you bend them you can bend them back again. Try that with Ally :thumb2

The original Tenere was an overlanders bike .... and this new model seems much more suited to a big trip than a 1200.

Still have fond memories of my 2000 DT125R ... great bike and wish I still had it.

With free numb b**locks at 30 miles and free numb fingers after 1/2 hour ride unless above 70mph at all times.:augie

. . I support . .

. . SRESCT = Society for the Restoration of Enthusiasm for Single Cylinder Thumpers . .

I'm also in support as long as single cyclinder thumpers doesn't include bikes like the GS 650 which is wooly and revs like a Honda 500 twin:ymca

After a few hours on my 1150 ADV I went out for a play on the DR650 so much more 'fun':bounce1:thumb

:thumb2The Origonal Tenere was the bike that did it for me in the90's .This looks like the kind of bike Mondo Enduro should be riding if they ever do a RTW again ,and I bet Yamaha would love it if they (or you?) Did!!
