Hey Guys,

Fresh to the forum looking for tuning solutions that will resolve stalling issues on my xCountry. I've got the booster plug, have checked all the sensors, done the IAC/TPS relearn, left IGN ON for 10+ seconds before starting, etc., the whole shebangabang. Intermittent stalling persists and is only resolved by a key cycle after stalling OR doing the WOT throttle reset procedure + a key cycle. My best, last hope is to find a Power Commander to finally be rid of this nonsense.

There are absolutely none Stateside at the moment, but apparently there's a shop in Sussex that has them. However, they won't ship internationally. So I have come here seeking your counsel.

I have had two different problems on two of different X bikes recently:

1. One was caused by dirt getting sucked up through the pump and causing problems. The cause was the gauze had failed and was no longer stopping the ingress of dirt. Replacement gauzes are available stateside, and I ended up swapping out the whole fuel supply side of the system that sorted it. In your case, this may be a dirty or partially clogged injector, but I am not sure.

2. The other, solved yesterday, was on my xchallenge that basically failed to tickover or behave at low revs; fine at high. It turned out to be the connector to the tps not sealing/ connecting properly. It sorted it when cleaned up and connected securely.

I'm not sure either of these will be your problem, but replacement injectors are cheap.

Im also not sure that a power commander will sort it, as it sounds like there is an underlying issue somewhere. I am happy to buy it on your behalf and ship it to you if that helps.

Best of luck

The key cycling/relearn procedure remedying the problem lend themselves to this being a software issue. I'll poke the shop and make sure they have the appropriate kits and I will post back here.

motoscan done?
the latest software?
a few replies on other forums ref. stalling, were a clogged fuel cap, or the coils showing loose wiring, some rela issues
the coils can be crossed over, not the connecting wiring, if this makes sense.

Query I would have on that is that the software is a constant? Interesting to know the cause/solution

I suppose it would be the calibration that I'd be referring to that results in unstable fueling.
The aforementioned shop (Vanguard motorsport) hasn't responded to my inquiry. I expect that they either don't view their messages or are just radio silent over lack of interest in Yankee dealings.
Here is the link if anyone cares to prod them for a response:
