GS 2010

2000 miles. no sign of oil usage. 50+mpg
miles quicker than the 2005 model above 5,000 revs.
Works like a dream and nothing negative to report.

Why not a no "problem element" in the poll? Without this it has no value, unless you have an axe to grind perhaps?

Ran out of Petrol last night and had to push it 2 miles home lost 3 stone:D:augie:eek::thumb2 Love it though:thumb2

Your GSA ran out of petrol  maybe you need to buy a bike with a bigger tank :hide

Over 4K and no problems. Pushed it across Utah at 90+ mph in 90+ F heat and temp guage remained steady at it's usual 4 bars. Generally improved from the 2005 I had. I'm keeping this one!

Drive shaft bearing

4,500 miles, bearing was showing wear!! Replaced under warranty.
Not using any oil so far.

<---- ( that's smoke not water!!)

Front shock?

Took my 2010 R1200gsa in for 500 mile first service yesterday and the front shock reservoir was misted over with oil ?? The mechanic cleaned it off and said to keep an eye on it !

Feck feck feck ..... :eek

Bike won't start this morning. Nothing. not even a dashboard light. EWS I'm guessing (?) so BM recovery have been called.

I'm not impressed!! I've had a new front shock (Crazy diamond - mine failed in it's first two weeks whilst on a trip with the boys in Scotland - oil every where, replaced under warranty ...), new rear tyre valve, a bill for £400 for said new valve and two new tyres (!!!!!!!), and now this.

Great bike, but boy is this turning into a love hate relationship :(

.....some hours later ....

I take some of it back. Brunhilda, I still love you :toungincheek

It was the battery. Forgot to switch off the blue tooth module thingy, Optimate said the battery had a half charge when i checked it, but not even a flicker of a neutral light. BM bloke jump started it and left it running for a while - all tickety boo now. I was on the verge of writing a snotty email to my dealer about reliability. Phew! I only feel a bit of a pratt now .... !

So, front shock and chocolate tyre valve. Thats it.

Sorry Guys I didn't know how to allow us to vote for more than one maybe someone can fix that?

I picked the bike up with 2100 on the clock (2008 model) and then did 1700 miles in the following week having fun in Scotland.

No issues what so ever.

I did Fort William to the middle of the isle of Skye and back to Fort Willaim on one tank of fuel (great my old fireblade did 90 miles between fills when having fun) average over the whole trip 47 mpg but we did do some low flying and motorway crusing was in the 90's+ (private road your honour):)

Great bike.

2010 Model,3200 miles, just back from Garmisch and Grossglockner no Issues what so ever, great Bike(+135mph on the old Autobahn, sometimes):)

final drive

had mine 2 weeks & 800 miles, just noticed final drive oil on the rear wheel. it seems to be coming from the drain area, going away for 3 weeks on it next week:eek:
