2010 GSA Dynojet Maps and Autotune

hi
what do you mean accept the changes please

andrew

Andrew, did you install PC V software in your laptop?
Connect the PC V unit and your laptop. Run the software.
Find menu Map Tools -> Auto Tune Tables -> Accept All Trims.
This will integrates the content of Autotune made trim table into the Fuel Table, then automatically clear the trim table and make it ready for next adjustment session.
First session will usually creates substantial trim value. Second session and after are more to fine adjustment.

Are you using the two sensor kit from Harley application?

autotune

hi coolrider

Investing in a keyboard with a complete complement of full stop, capitalisation and comma keys, might be your best use of funds, andy.

Guess you're wasting your time there Richard

Dynojet and Autotune? PCV5's?

You kids ...just take the 'bike to Hilltop Motorcycles and have it done right. No add ons, plug ins, no controllers, just a proper rolling road +re-map of your fuelling for probably the same cost.

Four of us went down last Saturday and all noticed a very real gain in performance, absolute satisfaction and for the right reasons :thumb

No connections with Hilltop Motorcycles other than as satisfied customers :thumb

Now less of the :tosser because it shows total lack of vocabulary ...

... and use of the keyboard

Or a recession busting efficieny saving.

Ditto on proper remap, why i threw away the PC3 on the ZZR and got a Hilltop remap, saves worrying about the PC causing problems and telling the insurers about your "performance" mod.

Hi,
Just brought a PCV + Autotune back from the US and have a couple of installation questions to ask...
1) How do I disconnect the O2 original sensors... seems a strange connector and I don't want to wreck it?
2) Not sure how best to connect to switched power, instructions not too clear and I am a bit wary of the CANBUS loom.....any tips/instructions appreciated?
Thanks

Hi, if you follow the wiring out the 02 sensors it goes to a plastic plug under the heads, i used a very fine blade screwdriver to seperate the plugs and pull apart, and on the pc5 the only lead that goes to the battery is the negative as it gets positve via the inline connectors you connect together, so i take it the autotune needs a switched positive!!

Hi Ding-Dong and thanks for your reply, I'll have another look at those plugs tomorrow - I'm struggling to decide which end of the plug detaches - DOH!
Yes, unfortunately the Autotune kit requires a switched positive connection and I am not really sure what to do - instructions mention tapping into the rear light but I need a bit more detail.

I checked up on costs, I know the Hilltop is a more leegant and permanant solution with no extra gear to go wrong, but it is expensive compared to the options:

Accelerator Module:- £30, Cheap & Cheerful and probably enough to stop bike running dangerously lean (especially for those with cats removed / cans fitted). Fifteen minutes to fit, easy to remove at service / warranty claim / sale time

Booster Plug:- £100, as above (just not as cheap)

PC3:- £250, Even with a generic map it should be a big improvement on above cheap options, with a custom map it will be even better but this costs about £400+ I guess about an hours work to fit :nenau The PC-V with Autotune I believe is even more expensive than a PC3 + Custom Map.

Hilltop Remap:- @£400, Probably better results than above, but it stays with the bike, so no resale possibility. And some are concerend about warranty etc. although it is claimed the dealer will never know.

I suppose it depends what you want, I would rather not have a valve eat itself / burn out and £30 probably goes a long way to stopping this.

Would I like much smoother running and a fair increase in power and torque through the rev range? Well wouldn't we all, and at £200 I am sure the queue outside Hilltop would be a long one. At £400 for a remap / properly setup Power Commander - No thanks.

So I reckon £30 to richen it up a shade will do until I can get something better without spending 8 - 15 times as much.

1) It's not £400 at Hilltop ... it's cheaper!
2) Two or three get together and get a 'deal'
3) I wouldn't do this to a 'bike I wasn't keeping for very long!
4) I wouldn't buy any of your fancy gadgets relying on 'value for money' on its resale value!
5) You miss the point ... everyone that has been to Hilltop are totally satisfied!
6) Cheapest isn't always best ... think value for money and Hilltop wins hands down.

No messing about wondering if you've got it right ... it'll be right and for the right reasons :pullface

Have now disconnected the lambda sensors and installed PCV, but not the autotune as I need to tap into a switched 12V supply.......
Any ideas please?
Thanks

Are you certain you do not work there?

No ... honest. Just a very satisfied customer :thumb

You see that's just typical and exactly what I'm on about .... get the job done right in the first place ... no worries, no hesitation, no queries, no problems, no iffs and no buts :rob

I agree with all of the above, I would not fork out for a PC3 again, the Hilltop work on the ZZR was an improvement over the PC3 and less hassle.

Maybe I should start saving, or gamble that my FD will not explode and use next years warranty money for a remap.
