2010 GSA

Cost to change is around £6,000 with the package I chose for my 06 GSA :eek

£3,000 increase in nearly four years...is that excessive?...not sure?...with the exchange rates, general cost of living etc, I guess you have to expect a fair price hike.

..would be interesting to compare it against other makes/models though.....I would guess probably a higher jump, but not by much? :nenau The BMW brand as a whole seem very stable at the moment, with high demand and sales, and this will always give them a less urgent reason to haggle a deal.
When you consider most of the popular bikes on the market have gone up by at least £2000 in a year and all they've had is a colour change and no other mods then £3000 in 4 yrs doesn't seem to bad :nenau.

Does anyone have a list of exactly what is new on the 2010 model?

I know about the engine, the exhaust flap and the screen adjusters.....

........and that black pressure relief valve as found on the back of new aluminium cases or otherwise you may struggle prising the self vacuum sealed lids off the cases after a period of riding!

Old news I'm afraid that was standard on the 09 model ;)

I have just got £ 7700 for my 06 GSA no abs no computer 7500 miles on it !
For me its worth the £5750 to change to the new one with Dynamic+Premium + enduro box.
Only had the 06 for 7 weeks and paid £7400 for it .
And hear in France they are the best part of € 19500
Pick it up next week ,

Blimey.....................is the new bike, worth 2 (or thereabouts) of the bike you currently ride now

No, not really…I did the exact same arithmetic myself, and when you look at it like that it doesn’t seem worth it.

It is made even more dramatically evident in my case, as I also have a 03 Pan European that I was considering adding into the Px equation….and that would mean wheeling in two bikes, and wheeling out one….and still having to pay them over a grand!

It does smart the thought of going from two bikes in my garage, to one….and that the new one is near identical to one of the other ones that I had before. :blast

No, I didn’t think so either….when you think that it probably lost £2,000+ the day it touched tarmac, and took flight down the road on the day I bought it.

I guess you have to be rational about ‘values’

…if you buy a car for £20,000…is it really only half the car it was when it is only worth £12,000 three years later?....of course not….but that is its ‘value’ in the market, and something you have to accept.

Like I said…it’s really down to how much you really want one that really justifies the cost to change.

I know when the GSA first came out in 2006 I would have paid what ever the cost was to get one…..now that I’ve actually got one, and not at all unhappy with it, then it is not such a cut and dried decision.

In a way it is a compliment to the GSA, that after four years it still feels like we have unfinished business together, and my head is not so easily turned by the newer model. :thumb2
