The latest BMW RepROM DVD for my 2012 GSA (FD has a breather), is 180ml.

Can't you fill via the level plug (as in on some 4-wheeler diff's, transfer boxes etc.)?

The only fill point on mine is via the ABS sensor hole, i.e. rear wheel removal required.
Haven't tried removing the breather and seeing if it's possible to fill via there, their workshop manual/DVD certainly doesn't suggest this as an option.
The drain is on the lowest point on mine (6 O'clock position).

I imagine that that guys bike is the only machine ever built in the history of the whole world that had a failure in the first few hundred miles
I don't suppose you read my thread about all the 1200's I just took through Canada to the Dalton and back without a problem did you

Actually I did read it and was impressed!
The thing is, it seemed like a really big deal to you that that many of those bikes managed to go that far without one or more suffering a major failure. I agree, it was quite a feat and somewhat unusual.
