Any one know what the service costs are for the 2010 gs?and when does it need its first service

why , did you not ask them when you ordred your new bike

if not ring them in the morning and get it from the horses mouth:nenau

They've thought about checking/adjusting the valves though - it's much easier than the allen key and spanner approach, in my books.

If you're not worried about the warranty then serviceing it yourself is easy peasey.

Oh, hang on, I mentioned the 'W' word :blast

i would have thought its dearer for shim adjustment, it certainly will be for people like steptoe etc cos they will have to buy the shim boxs, is the new 1200 shim over bucket or under??

first service

I paid about £100 in june 2009 at chester mottorad for 600 mile service , took all friggin day though on a friday when i had a rally to go to!!!!!! was there at 8.30 got it back at 4pm not impressed!

I'd just want to know whether it shares the same horrendous costs as the HP2S, which has a four figure service cost at 18 or 24k. Hopefully not.

chester mottorad

In fairness they had the bike for over 7 hours but they did give me a new gs650 twin to play on , whatever happened to the first service being free? it always used to be , then they started charging for the consumables now they have put some labour charges in too????

What on earth makes you think it's 'free'? You have to pay for it somewhere - either at point of purchase, or at the time of the service.
