So today was the first ride with the new GSA tank. Someone asked about the fuel gauge and how to update given the tanks increased what 13ltrs

So I swapped over the tank, had a look through GS911 and couldn’t see anything about telling the ECU of the change.

So filled up today, took near 33ltrs and I brimmed it.

Dash showed 150 miles range. I reset trip and during the ride when trip showed 62 miles the range on dash showed 174miles.

This was the highest I saw the range get to. So it steadily kept climbing until it reached this 174 then started to drop.

So at 174range and 62 miles on trip results in 236miles.

I’m thinking it should be more like 300 miles I should get out of full tank.

I was on windy single track roads so lots of up and down the gears and plenty revving. Lovely day and bike just feels so nice. Lot of hooting at good speeds also so not really the nice relaxing ride the bike really needs to learn.

So bottom line is I just don’t know.

Will it learn over the coming months and sort itself out, or does the GS simply have a max value it thinks you can get on a tank? I just don’t know.

Bikes now showing range of 136miles and trips at 103miles. It’s been on 136rangefor about 20mins. So maybe there are stages the range goes through. The bars or dashes up the right have only gone down one dash.
