2011 R1200GSA struggling to accelerate at high rpm problem!!

I would still be interested to see the data at 6th gear, 70 mph cruise then full throttle to 85 mph.
If you could email the .CSV file to me.

Will try get that now if I can.

Just fit a FUel controller off brothers GS..and his injectors lol. All the same.

Will try running a log now with laptop

if the fuel system is gunge free and pressure is correct....I suspect your "do nothing plug" for the Rapid bike evo is NOT working for some reason....
I think I'd remove the whole thing, reset adaptions and go for a ride. On which fuel to use I also think the Esso stuff has more of the right additives to maintain fuel over long periods of non use, cleans better etc. It smells totally different to everyone else's. Much more exotic.

But if you have a bike that could use >98 octane fuel then you need shell 99. My K13 specified "use of 98 or above... or expect reduced performance and fuel consumption", for a year it never did anything different with Esso or BP super unleaded. I had the bike updated with the latest map and the experience was not great (it ran bad for 40 miles as I later realised it needed to get adaptions sorted, and kept stalling as it did it, from them on always seemed smoother but slower). Again Esso or BP super unleaded did nothing different to 95 ordinary unleaded.

Then one day about to fill up fill up and saw the Shell super unleaded was 99, then it clicked. The manual says 98 or above. Not 97 !!! So went from fumes to full up on shell 99, started the engine and it instantly ran different, idled for 15 seconds and I rode off. Inside 20m could tell it was a different bike.... and the performance change was extraordinary. Much livelier everywhere from tick over to the red line. A good 10 to 15% quicker. How on earth it could fix the map inside 15 seconds I don't know. But in the GS all makes and types of petrol behaves the same, no difference at all (unless in euroland where E10 runs like a dog).

Fuel controller and injectors have removed the brick wall feeling but still past 80 it slowly accelerates.

I have successfully logged to csv 6653.5 rpm (I'm sure I took it past 7k tho?? ) as I WOTd it a few times to triple digits.

Will email logs now

so you changed something and had first positive results....???

how many miles since last reset adaptions... they go to nearly 9k on a TC why are we playing at 6 k tickover?

Sir, this is my thoughts, just remove the rapid bike system, test ride, then swap standard exhaust and headers back and try again. thats

This will be tmrws plans...My morale is sapped today.

The injectors seemed to have helped a bit, its all feeling muddled now,

As stated i had it past 7k but it doesnt seem to want to log that high.

interesting ;)

I just used a mobile to do my data capture, far more efficient

I'll drop you a line later when i've had a cuppa and digested

Thanks Santa :)

Rapid bike disconnected

I could work for BMW pit crew I have taken this bike apart so much.

Could old petrol be the problem?.
You said it had been laid up for a year. I don't know how far your commute to work is, but are you still using the fuel that was in it from a year ago?

I'd be surprised if the f800 injectors had the same flow rate ? same part numbers ?

I get your point it wasn't with joy I suggested taking off the evo, well done for trying this much… If I had to get the tank off, I'd be waiting at least a month for inspiration

Bike has been checked over.

New plugs again

Rapid bike actually disconnected.

Test ride quick

Had a quick look at your .CSV files.
1. Throttle position is only going to 97.27% normally on full throttle they read 100.01% but that is by the way and not causing your problem.
2. your lambda voltages are high one minute and then dropping out completely. This is random on both sensors, I don`t think it is a sensor problem or a connector problem.
I would suspect it to be the fault of the rapid bike system. I would not fit the blanking plug. But I would remove the system.
The Stock system is more than capable of adapting to your exhaust system.
Lastly under full throttle under your data conditions you should be showing a figure of just over 60, for some reason you are showing positive readings ( 47 at 70mph cruise) until you go full throttle then it is going negative -47 to -31 which is very odd and I am not sure what is causing that.

Soooooo

Didnt make a difference with whole rapid bike disconnected.

Brand new oem plugs

Checked all fuel lines for pinches

Tanks venting fine

No codes on gs911

New Fuel controller

New fuel pump

New injectors

New TPS

New Battery

Valves and TB checked

New primary coils

Reset adaptations

I have last things to test....

Remove full exhaust and go back to stock

Knock sensors

Crank sensor

Lower coils

After that I'm stumped....or after covid 19 lifts I ride someones TC 1200 locally and see if im just mad.

But....I'm very very appreciative of all the advice, suggestions and help with my CSV files you gentleman have provided.

I WILL PREVIAL
