Because if you stand on the pegs with your arms off the bars in Leonardo di Caprio mode while travelling fast over a washboard surfaced dirt-track there is a chance of a tank-slapper. Better to be safe than sorry eh?
Because it's unnecessary. I've ridden the toilet in ALL conditions on ALL surfaces (tarmac, dirt, mud, sand, snow, wet, clay). It doesn't need a dampener.
Because bmuu knew they would have to take all those 2013 bikes back and exchange em for new ones, so it was just a money saving excercise not to fit em

Would tend to agree - ridden lots of bikes that needed a damper and even fitted one to a 990 Superduke - but the Toilet GS does not fall into that category
That said the only time I notice the damper on my 2014 model GS is when I am cleaning it so not bothered either way
Mine too never had an issue mines red with 10,000 miles on it ive never had a bike with one either, so not sure what to expect when I get the GSA in April is it adjustable or set to a nominal setting, just a thought because if I find it intrusive can set it softer, failing that remove it I suppose.
