Ha ha .....
I had a LC last year that was a great bike and luckily I had a smooth gearbox too !
This bike feels so much smoother on acceleration , although I am still running it in I noticed on the motorway at about 80 -90 mph it feels like it is "hunting ". My last LC did this and it seemed fine after first service so maybe it's a map update ???
I am 5ft 10 and the seat on the lowest setting allows me to place both feet on the floor , seems to be same height then as Std LC on highest setting.
Also I have a TL1000 R sat in the garage and I can honestly say I can't see me ridding it much due to the fact that this bike seems to do everything so well.
Can't claim to be the fastest rider in the world , but I ride " spirited " and the GS will keep up with most sport bikes on the twisty's and pass a few too !
The down side it cost me nearly £40 to fill up and pushing in to the garage with a full tank was a challenge !!
As I said before "f in awesome" and no complaints from me![]()

Had a triple black TC before that and 1150 Rockster .... I must say that must be most the under rated bike ever .... Wish I had have kept that and made it into some sort of cafe racer style !Good reply, nice to know what you had previously, obviously having had previous gsses it's a pretty fair comparison..
I'm on the 14regd GS WC & not got any problems with mine, got a nice k1200s & I just can't see me riding it much, it's gonna have to find a new lover..
Good luck with bike & enjoy the journeys guys..![]()

But have you ridden one....you may just be pleasantly surprised
It's a good bike , but I have the 1200gs LC , this bike just feels too big , I never have the need to carry that much extra fuel , so the size outweighes the practicality . If however I was crossing Africa etc , this would be fine , but I do Europe and the LC standard is fine, also even with the heavier flywheel , the low down torque is not a bonus , more than a compromise for me.
The LC gs is a great bike for the standard traveller and the GSA is a globe trotting necessity , but not for me .
It would be a boring world if we all thought the same , this is only my opinion so please don't berate me .......
Ps , the screens a bits weird ....
