So now able to see it in the flesh so to speak. Everything good except one small niggle. The model was an SE with the integrated GPS. I like my own GPS rather than the BMW own model fitted on a migsel mount above the dash. The guy said that to get the model without the integrated GPS mount you need to buy the basic RT then build up the other accessories to make it like a SE (he did not seem overly sure of this to be honest). I guess this may be more expensive and affect resale.
My wife's pragmatic view was: "...you don't seem to keep them that long anyway so just get the SE and put up with it.

Any views?

It's not fully integrated, but fitted with a Garmin mount and 660 sized aperture. I guess I'll just change my TT Urban Rider for a 660 if I buy the new one

Are you sure the 660 will fit in the aperture and there is nothing funny about the BMW branded one being in some way altered? If so, problem solved. Thanks

The way it was explained to me was that it will take a Garmin 660 but unless it's the BMW version of the 660 it will not work operate from the handlebar thumb wheel

If you're spending that much on a new bike, why not get the BMW nav? Any decent dealer will do you a deal, plus it will work with the wheel.:thumb
