You'll struggle to get the same mileage even if both returned the same consumption.
The LC GSA tank is smaller than the DOHC GSA. I can't remember exactly but I think it's best part of a gallon, or 4.56 litres as I'm probably meant to say.
My post was for information only. I love the bike and the mpg and the tank size. It is more economicial than than my old sc. that's what BMW claim. I seem to have substantially sustained that claim. JJH
Fugging Hell how do you get less than 50 mpg, sitting at 85 to 90 on Autobahns, 2 up and loaded mine manages 53 mpg and when touring solo with luggage including some spirited riding on the Alpine passes it was getting nearer 58 mpg
my old twin cam consistantly returned 52mpg, my mate riding with me always seemed to do better returning 56mpg, put it down to my use of the gears, my LC returns 54mpg slightly better.
hope this helps.
A GSA tank will hold 31 lt from bone dry, at a steady pace you will get 20 more miles after the trip reads 0 before the bike stops.
Over the last 53,000 miles I have averaged 53 mpg with a best of 73 and a worst of 36. it all depends how you use your right hand !!!!
