2015 Model, its not the fastest colour, its not the coolest colour, its not the discontinued colour :D
Corrosion, well I'm buggered If I can find any, gear box is a peach apart from into first gear when cold.
Quick shift well that's made my riding immensely more enjoyable when making progress on hilly twisty roads and does this engine like to rev, (my engines don't use oil) the more revs the better the quick shift, going down the box it just makes me laugh (my wife thinks I am changing gear just for the hell of it).
Suspension easily adjustable on the move which makes for a good ride
Brakes are excellent, ditto the tyres (chicken strips about 10mm wide)
Bike has done 850 miles and going to dealers for the 500 mile service on Saturday I've had to keep the miles down dealer couldn't fit the service in sooner.
Both my wife and myself think this will make an excellent sports tourer.
If you are thinking about a bike that has quick shift as an option, do your self a favour and buy it

Yes I completely agree with everything you say.

I have the quick shift and I love it. Apart from the fun of the smooth shifts and associated rapid progress, the pillions love it as they don't bash their heads on yours as you change gear. To head off lots of comments about how I obviously can't change gear properly in the first place, yes you are right, clearly I can't, so this feature is brilliant for me.

You also title your post dealers: I go to North Oxford BMW and I think they are brilliant. Really nice people who really look after you, I tend to wait whilst the bike is serviced and they have lots of free coffee etc, high speed internet so I can work, quiet seating area and even desks to work at. Sometimes I kill time by test riding other bikes or even (a bit cheekily) the BMW cars next door! The M4 convertible is a lot of fun if a bit pricey.....!

Puggy

You really have lost the plot, you are only meant to come on here and complain about things :blast if this carries on the place will go downhill fast :D

Oh ok - I get it now!

Well, I am somewhat peeved that the satnav doesn't central lock with the rest of the bike. But other than that, it is brilliant!

Nice roads, but you seem to be riding with a wannabe copper !!

Oh dear, another hi-vis slagging off debate approaching....

well it has been a few days, so probably about time.

How dare someone wear a bike jacket with any form of conspicuity aid on it.

LOL, he's no wannabe, he's the real McCoy. You probably saw him on the telly yesterday escorting Cameran to Buck palace!

he drives cars as well ???:P

ultimate respect for the royal escort boys , they have a fantastic job
