2016 Alpine White TE Value ?

But it can come into the equation if bought as a company bike, like mine so VAT recovered and will apply within the then selling price.

I don't think that the VAT can be recovered though on s/h bikes - just new and ex-demo models.

So I'll work on £12,500 on that basis.

Cheers all!

Should Nav 5, engine bars, driving lights and panniers be additional to the value or within it?

Shame u mentioned VAT, that's got nothing to do with the valuation, just a handy quote used in the trade when ur about to get your pants pulled down and disguise their profit margins.

i believe garages only pay VAT on the profit they make on a used bike / car sale - not VAT on the actual sale price. So if you sell / trade in at 5k - they sell it on for 6k only have to pay VAT on the 1K profit.

Agreed, I just don't think the vat argument holds any truth, the used price is the price, vat blended.

You might lose 20 percent but that's more the fact a used vehicle is worth less and the dealers want a grand or two profit in a sale.

A Range Rover Evoque 'doesn't lose the vat' after a week. It's just a case of supply and demand in terms of value imho.

As for selling the 2016 GS dirt cheap, don't do it. If u must then sell all extras privately. Pretty sure someone will bike ur hand off if priced right given a discounted one is £14k.

Once I can work out how to post photos, I'll put her in the for sale section ahortly.

Cheers all!

Drop the 20% VAT off the cost of a new bike then deduct £0.20p per mile for each mile covered

£0.10p per mile is what dealer deduct when you finance the bike and return it with higher milage.
