2017.10 file size

After updating my 590 I notice that the file size is smaller than I was expecting?
Can anyone check their file size for me please??
Only shows as 3.95gb.
590 has loads of space, (16gb) still 7.5gb free.

What map set have you (all Europe, Western Europe, wherever)?

It will be all of Europe, it's a normal update to City Navigator Europe NTU.
Just had a look on Garmin website for map downloads,

City Navigator® Europe NT,The file size of this download and space required on device or microSD™/SD™ card is 3.1 GB.
and
City Navigator® Europe NTU,The file size of this download and space required to run this update is 8 GB.

I wonder if the 590LM came with NT maps and not NTU ??

How can i tell which i have?

2017.10 is NTU. 2016.20 is current for NT. Probably needs 8GB to update & install before deleting old map version.

Just checked, it has ,Europe DEM, which the 3d terrain data and, CN Europe NTU 2017.10 ALL.
So I have NTU version but still was expecting the gmapprom.img file to be much larger than 3.94gb.

I imagine the 3D terrain map hasn't changed unless some hills have grown recently so maybe 8Gb is th file size for the whole lot, but the gmapprom.img is the only bit that needs to change with road descriptions? Hence the small file size?
