2017 KTM Adventure Range.

The current 1290 Super Adventure becomes the 1290 Adventure T.

Then there are 2 new models :

The 1290 Adventure R in orange/white with 21/18 spoked wheels and TKC rubber.

And finally the 1290 Adventure S with 19/17 cast wheels and a smaller 23 litre tank.

Well you spend best part of £1500 on a full Akra system and Hilltopodectomy but if you removed the shaft and fitted a chain drive your beloved GSA blunderbus would gain about 30bhp instantly. You'd still be down on a 1290 by about 20bhp but at least it might feel better.....

......and yet after 10 GS's including the WC 1200GSA I now have an 1190 ;)

Will be interesting to see what KTM do with the 1050/1090 - better suspension and a 21 inch front wheel would certainly take sales from the AT :D

If anything, I bang on about how awesome my KTM is despite it's asthmatic 98BHP.
It's probably worth about the same as a GSA of the same vintage / mileage but I know for a fact it was a lot cheaper to buy new than the GSA.

However I post very light heartedly as I care little about how the modern bike market has gone BHP and gadget crazy, if I bought a new bike it'd be one of those Africa Twin moped things :thumb

Try ringing your friendly BMW dealer and ask them to buy your GSA watercooled for cash they will fuck you right off and things will get worse when they all come back off PCPs and guess what the only bike that ever broke down on me was the all round package new GSA 1200te take yer blinkers off

Oh dear nutty, I wonder if you removed the Bmw badge and replaced it with a ktm badge, would you still buy it !
 
Looks like evolution of the line rather than revolution which is no bad thing :)

Strangely enough it was not the AT I was knocking :comfort
 
If people want a bike with more power why not just buy one - why fuck about trying to tune an underpowered Honda moped by chucking gazillions of pounds at it in dubious accessories and even more dubious re-mapping - Fucked up thinking :)
