At the very least they need black powder coating.

My hope is that a custom twin pipe exhaust will be made that makes the rear symmetrical and lose the OTT step on the KTM setup. Probably won't happen

The one on the exhaust side has a different shape looks crap from behind

Surely he’s done that to keep it as tight as possible . Looks ok to me .

Same as on my ATAS

It’s personal taste but I’d much rather he shape the frame around the exhaust otherwise it would stick out far too much .

That looks better than the BMW setup he has tried to keep them tight and balanced I could live with that be interesting to see what he can do with the 790
Cheers

But that is the BMW setup !!! It’s a GS.

PS
I edited post above and added ATAS/1290 pics

I meant the OEM Bmw setup the Burmots are a lot neater you dont notice the offset as much

Oh I see. I thought you meant the Bumot were offset for the GS.
I’ve been happy with the Bumot so far on my AT,1290R and ATAS and will get them for the 790R as have both ally Defender and soft Xtremada panniers ready to use.

Some have commented that you might injure yourself on the straight edges if you come off off-road with Bumot rails fitted but not sure what else he can do.Even rounder corners will still hurt if you connect.

I think I might wait to see how his Bumot rails pan out but I would use them with softbags thanks for the input

I've already emailed the issue to them. They should listen....really. Much as I don't love the look of the KTM ones above, I'd rather have a fall with them on than the Bumot rails. It has concerned me on the 1290, but I don't intend to drop that. The 790 will be on the floor at some point, probably many times. If not, I've bought the wrong bike and should've bought a 450L or 690R.

That new 690 engine sounds very sweet indeed for a single. But let's not start a thread within a thread.
