10,000 mile service interval too :green gri well 15,000 km .

Worth a trip to the bike show next week or whenever it is. Lots of new interesting bikes to see

10,000 mile service interval too

Or annual. It’s just a marketing ploy to make you think the service intervals are long, but unless you’re actually doing 10k miles per year, it’ll need a service once a year either way.

What is the S Version like, same with taller screen?

It’s not an S. There is the 790 Adventure and then the 790 Adventure R.

The standard bike has lower two piece seat etc ,two colour options :

But if you is a midget the standard seat also fits the R to bring it down to 850mm

Looks better with the low front mudguard

Nope :D

R looks the way I suspect the design brief set out to achieve as a proper adventure tool. :bounce1

Watered down version is to catch the lookalike folk who like the idea but don't have the opportunity to do the full on RTW ;)

...................no point having a high mudguard, for 90% of R buyers..............just for Tesco trips or gravel laybys:comfort

You getting one then? :D

Arsey, what did you think of it in the flesh?

I have to say my expectations weren't set too high but having seen your photos and others I'm really quite liking it.

So far what I've read all sounds good, other than the weight which is a little disappointing. I'll defo be sorting a test ride on one to see what it's like :)

Oh, and another thing, apart from (I'm assuming?) the hassle of needing to remove the tank to get at anything I really, really like the idea; it keeps the weight good and low, protects the bike in a fall and should even give a modicum of weather protection as well as allowing you to be over the bars more and have a nice narrow seat. Inspired really and like a lot of these things I'm surprised it's not been done before.

No way fitting the 2 piece seat to the R will bring the seat ht down to 850mm - the height diference is more to do with the longer travel suspension (200mm compared to 240mm) ;)

Your opinion, not mine..................no point having a high mudguard, for 90% of R buyers..............just for Tesco trips or gravel laybys:comfort

I'll be looking to change the high mudguard for the lower one, I find the high one makes my 690 a bit flighty at higher speeds - :D

Exactly … you only have to look at both bike's ground clearance to see that :augie

Hate the mismatched luggage though. Really spoils the overall look. Looking good for mounting some soft luggage though
