2018 KTM 790 Adventure

Did you get anywhere with this

I’m told by my dealer today that it was fitted to my bike no problem. They used the luggage plate and the mounting plate that is identified on the KTM website as a prerequisite.

I’m not aware of them having to drill any holes out.

The size of the panniers is interesting as it disguises the stupidly wide exhaust. I anticipated a document holder on the exhaust side and a normal sized one on the non-exhaust.

Is this a prototype ? ( wielding looks like I did it)

Very tidy. See if you can get them to make a tool box for inside of the pannier rack.

Welding looks fine to me but then I’m no expert !

Both the frames on my 1290 and ATAS were/are very well made (in my opinion )

Can you take a shot looking from the rear? And measure the width side to side with your metal panniers? Assume the fabric one are potentially a bit narrower??

I hadn’t seen the toolbox, is this on your 790?

No this is on Bumot’s bike . Should get my panniers/tool box in a couple of weeks as on order and Asen at Bumot said first ones going out next month .

35/31 litre panniers-width 92cm
40/36 is 98cm
45/41 is 104cm.

Xtremada’s will be narrower, especially when empty as they pack in quite tight.

Its that exhaust that spoils things. 98cm is similar to the boxes I ha e fitted to the 1290.... Thats too wide for 'this' bike.

Looks a nice set up like the bags does he have prices yet for the frames

Well I'm very pleased to see that Bumot listened (maybe) to the feedback regarding the wicked sharp edges like on the 1290 rack. See they've rounded the bottom sections nicely. Good that, especially for a proper off-road bike.
