Why did you get rid of it?
Steady yourself ... it's only just been advertised. I've just traded mine in (23 model - 11K miles , just fancied owning an NC750 for a while) -nout wrong with the 500X , just fancied a change. Only 750 miles on the NC , and it's pleasing me so far.

Changing bikes can be fun, if not sometimes expensive. :) How's the NC750 run, handle (and ride on less than ideal pavement) compared to a 500X?

Nicely outfitted and looks to be priced fairly so I imagine it'll sell soon. Quite a change to a bike with a different set of strengths should be fun.

To answer your NC question (as best I can with limited miles) - they are very different. Bit more weight + 25kg , but more power - big difference is the torque - NC only revs to 7 , and there is lots of grunt low down 3 to 4K revs. Brakes much better , handles just as well - neither are off road machines but both would handle dirt tracks fine. Both are very economical , 80 mpg over 10500 miles on the 500 , I expect NC to be 75+ ... but too soon to say , it might be better - my experience is that they need 2000 + miles to bed in .... and the mpg goes up a bit then. DCT vs manual in my case ... so very different (I have a dct wing , so it's similar with one gear less). NC much smaller fuel tank (14.1 L vs ? 17) , but the "Frunk" is very handy - 23 litres of space.

Sorry you are selling the Honda as I’ve always liked that bike, but the big Zed is a very exciting prospect. Ride it, or just look at it 👍

Just to close this off.
The CB500X sold and was collected last week

Happy days

I know of a nice one for sale from an ex forum member - white - about a year old - let me know if further info required

I called and chatted with an owner locally who's selling his 2023 CB500X as I've been semi-interested in these bikes for a while now. It is his first motorcycle and when practicing slow speed turns in a parking lot he fell to the right so a scratched bar end and silencer shield. He's asking $6,000 which is top dollar for it but it only has 400 miles and has a center stand and upper radiator guard or light bar. He says he wants to buy a 150-300cc scooter. For comparison the new NX500 version (here) would price out at $8,150 plus the stand and guard. Anyway I plan on meeting him for a look Sunday morning.

I’d ask him to fix the damage and reduce the price.

Good suggestion. I was thinking if the silencer isn't too noticeable I'll probably ask for a little more off and just touch up the bar end myself. For whatever reason these little bikes are not easy to find at most dealers around here, maybe that's why they hold their value used. Most 2023's I've seen are around this price only with a lot more miles and half or more worn tires.
These are the pictures he sent but I'll see how it looks in person.

Well I just hooked up the trailer and went for a look taking $5,800 just in case. The bar end is the only damage I could see and I'd just sand then respray, other than that it looked new. Neither he or I could find a scratch on the silencer, he said it must have been a cobweb. In addition to the light bar and center stand the bike also had a factory luggage rack plus the stock take off grab handles and was complete with both keys, manual, and tool kit. When we talked price he said he was pretty firm at $6,000. When I offered $5,500 he thought for a minute finally saying he'd do $5,900 but no lower.
Given a new NX500 equipped the same would cost $8,750 plus $525 tax or $9,275, this bike almost new with 400 miles at $5,900 plus $240 tax or $6,140 actually seems like a bargain. I probably should have bought it for $5,900. Oh well......
