Mine's Datatool too. As said, provided with details and have to register once you get the bike. First year's subscription paid for.

I noticed it’s free for a year but do you have to tick the accessory box for it to be fitted I’m asking as I have a monimoto tracker and quite happy with that and if I took the free tracking then decided not to continue after a year would it have insurance implications as in its fitted by manufacturer but not used.

They're fitted as standard now to all BMW's except the 310 I think. As above the 1st years subscription is free but circa £110 per year after that. I checked on thebikeinsurer website as my insurance is now due and the bike is 12 months old and it made little difference to some of the premiums quoted and non at all to others. I've gone with IAM Surity and with them there was no difference in the premium at all.
