Hi all.
To save me going through all the posts and messages, it would be helpful to have a list of attendees.
Please let me know:
Approximate day and time of arrival. This is just to ensure that there is somebody to welcome you.
Mode of transport. Useful to know how many are in cars, vans, wobbly boxes etc so that we can arrange parking. Those coming without a bike might be able to borrow one of mine so bring your gear.
Any diet restrictions.
What you usually like to drink.
Any other special requests.

I'm currently stuck in Devon. Brought the car over for a service and it needs lots of new parts which take time to source and fit. Anyone whoever moans about the price of a bike service should be grateful you don't have to pay for a full service on a 34 year old Bentley!

See you all soon.

Hi Sid
Just me
Arriving 15th pm est
Tent
Food, pretty much anything
Drink cider, lager

Dont worry if no one around to
Greet, i know where to park and fridge location

😁

I'm hoping to join you, though I'm staying a short ride away.
I'm aiming to arrive at my accommodation late afternoon on the Wednesday, insha'Allah, so will try to pop down on Wednesday evening and show my face.
Again, just me.

Food, anything thank you, I'm just grateful for your generosity
Drink, alcohol free but I'm happy to bring that with me.

Again thank you for everything, I'm looking forward to meeting people.

Just me on a bike.

No diet restrictions/allergens - alcohol free beer is drink of choice (soft drinks during the day :)).

Happy to lend a hand with any chores.

Three of us are traveling overnight from Portsmouth on a Ferry. All are on motorcycles and camping equipped. Although if there is space going indoors, two might decide to stay there instead.

Arriving at Caen on 15th of August at 06:15.
Two of us are likely to be arriving at yours Sid at around 18:00-18:30 onwards.
Skid06 is likely to stop overnight enroute to scout out a camping site for future jaunts.
Departing on Sunday mid morning.

Drink of choice and diet for me:
  • G&T Bombay Saphire preferably.
  • White wine,
  • Beer (lager)
  • Medium cider (not scrumpy or cloudy)
  • Vegetarian (since I am being asked)

Hi Sid,

Just me, arriving on the GS early afternoon on 15th.
Food: virtually anything since no food allergies.
Drink: Wine, Goudale or similar French brew, Speyside (I’ll bring some), Ricard, pretty much anything else put in front of me.

I’m bringing warm/dry weather camping gear - tarp & mesh tent so please make it dry and sunny 😉👍

I’m starting to get excited, so thanks a lot and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone. Safe travels, everyone…👍

Hi Sid,

Gill and I should be with you AM on Saturday 17th, we will be close, as staying in Cahors the night before.

We will be in the Volvo and camping, please. We plan to depart on the morning of the 19th on our way to Royan.

We drink beer and wine and eat pretty much anything, thank you.

We will bring some stuff with us too.

We are on a 5 day £96 getaway per person and a motorcycle excluding cabin with Brittany Ferries. We booked a cabin for each of the crossings though. Came to a £420 something in total for the 3 of us return, which is a bargain for a long weekend getaway. It is a going to be a long day at over 430 miles and it is a bank holiday in France too.

I did the same route last year

It was 7am FT when i cleared border control

allowing for a couple of stops Fuel, a detour , missed turning, and a chat to the gendarmes :D and getting lost in the village

I think it was about 7Pm when i got to sids

That's a fabulous deal, much cheaper than I have ever found. (y)

The deal is still on although the T&Cs have changed. 7 days away for a rider and a bike at £106 return excluding pre booked seat/cabin. Still good for a week long jaunt if you can find a crossing suitable for your needs.

Sorry but unable to attend this year due to having a rally booked on this weekend. Hopefully in the future we will be able to do it. Thanks to Sid and Ann for organizing such an event for the GSers.
Alan
