Out of interest did Richard buy it? At the end of the day what's the problem if he did and the deal worked for you that's all that matters. It's not a family heirloom, it's just a very nice nearly new bike that you no longer want. If it was Richard likelihood is your bike will sell very quickly (all my low milage LCs sold within a couple of weeks in winter) or they might already have someone on the books who wants your bike so winners all round.
