Hi All, Just had a quote for insurance from bemoto, £358 fully comp.

57 years old, no convictions or accidents and 13 years ncd.
last years was 50 quid high at 226 but the likes of bennetts offering at £148.

i know bemoto have a good reputation, but when is it taking the mick to hike prices like this.

Strange. My renewal with BeMoto last month was £167.59 compared to £153.35 last year.

They are a broker, not an underwriter. Shop around.

Cheers casbar, have done. Looks like Bennetts are getting the business then. Shame as Bemoto sounded decent, but seem to be profiteering just like the rest.

This^^^^ I use the bike insurer comparison site for my bike and the fat singers one for the cars to see how competitive (or not) my renewal prices are. For the bike I then tend to use IAM Surity (Cornhill) as they're usually competitive and do their best to price match. Just insured my new RS SE with them with 3 months to go on my existing premium for my 2020 1250GS TE and I expected to get shafted but the increase was only £19 plus their admin fee. The 1300 is a new model so some underwriters may well be a bit nervous insuring it without any crash/theft data to help them assess the risk and as it'll be a very popular bike if they get it wrong it'll cost them.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Finally decided to go with Bennetts. £135. No legal or breakdown, but i have both those with car insurance anyway, I suppose i have learned that every year will be a ring round ir google check from now on. A saving of £220 soon covers any servicing etc so quids in.
