I like how 3 is blended into the headlight. Looks less plain with graphics too.

Don’t you like the Gilles levers from the Yamaha options list? They are brilliant on my Tracer 9 GT+

I see that Bonnie Tyler aka Arsey has scored himself a new Caberg helmet with Bike magazines “letter of the month” ;)

Went out on my GT+ today, at a coffee stop in Llandovery, I parked up next to an XSR 900. I have to be honest, I was drooling over it. Then the owner walked up and naturally, I complimented him on his excellent taste in bikes. He replied, “thanks, want to buy it?”.

He said it was his dream bike apart from one little thing; he said it was absolute agony to ride! He had done just over 300 miles since buying it and loved it but for the pain of riding it. He was about 5’ 10” and about early, mid thirties (about half my age then) and he reckoned after a few miles it was torture to ride and he was wondering how he could tell his wife!

That’ll learn him for being a tad short.
Many reviews but anybody under 6’ has said it’s too much of a stretch to the bars . Not had mine off island yet but will do next year.

Maybe it also depends on what you're used to? The way people were going on about the riding position I had expected to be crucified when I had one on test but it felt absolutely fine (I'm 5'11"), although, granted, I only had it for 90 minutes. The ergonomics immediately reminded me of the 70s/80s/90s Ducati sports bikes I rode in my yoof - a bit of a stretch to the bars with legs well tucked up. The tank cut outs were in exactly the right place too. It was a bit like coming home. Still very much on my 'Buy List'...

This reminds me of when I was about 9 being sat on my old man's mate RD200 (maybe 400) in the red and white speed block colours.
As much as I stretched, I could just brush the grips with my fingertips.
I thought I would never grow big enough to ride something like that.

The only bike I ever suffered with was the R1200 GS. This just numbed the base of my spine and needed a Sargent seat to sort it out. The WC version was better.

So a stretch is fine, sitting bolt upright not so much.

Saw a post somewhere claiming this was the new paint scheme for 2025? Maybe so but it would seriously piss off those who bought an identical bodywork set, supposedly a limited edition and one which was only briefly available - and then only ever in Japan.
Had it as my screen saver for a while. Gorgeous, but I still prefer the original
