2026 RE Flying Flea

Interesting....
Thanks for sharing.
Nice inclusion of the 'Heritage' symbolism on the tank.

And, a remarkable 'back story' /antecedents...

A guy I sold a bike to had two original RE fleas in a period ( like a wartime garrison hut) . One of them was in a custom built tubular frame , made with the dimensions from the original parachute deployment model.

Whilst I was posting this Kitsilano posted a link to photos of the bike in the frame

I have often wondered how many of the airdropped ‘Flea’ motorcycles:

A. Landed anywhere near their target dropping zone.

B. Landed in anything like one piece.

Bet the French farmers collected barns full of them 😄

Royal Enfield’s electric future has officially arrived in Europe with the Flying Flea C6, bringing a distinctive retro futuristic design together with modern electric technology.
Priced at £5,300 in the UK and €5,990 in Europe, the C6 features an exoskeleton frame, magnesium battery casing and a distinctive forged aluminium Girder fork inspired by the original Flying Flea motorcycles of the 1940s. Royal Enfield also gives it a 3.91 kWh battery, 20.6 bhp and a 115 km/h top speed.
The technology is arguably just as interesting, with lean angle sensing ABS, traction control, connected navigation, five ride modes, cruise control, wireless phone charging and over the air software updates. The European model claims up to 104 km of WMTC range, while a 20 to 80 percent charge takes around 65 minutes.

Given the reported apparent likelihood of all electric vehicle batteries bursting into flames, particularly ones engineered in some third world country like India, one might think that wrapping the battery in something flammable like magnesium was probably not an inspired design decision.

:D

Or this. Half the price, just as cool, 200 plus mile range and a 2 minute recharge time to full!

Saw the two models at ABR this year. Very well finished and testament to the fact they have been selling in India since spring. Price is good for all that leading link loveliness, but I cant get past 40 miles of range when riding it spiritedly. I rode an early Zero and like it or not the electric torque off the line means most folk will ride these like hooligans.

The other potential downside is to the scroats of the inner cities they look a bit Suron ish. Which may lead to them being targeted for theft.

Once they break the 120 mile range either through software or more energy dense batteries then RE will have a strong seller on their hands.

Imagine naming a vehicle after a flying insect whatever next? a Midge.....oh! We did have the MG Midge..T. :green gri

I may well have ordered one today but my dealer can’t get me one as they’re only being sold by five RE dealers in the UK.
Can’t be arsed with importing one .
