2026 V7 850 Sport

Thank you, we were all really impressed with the bike I have been out on a V7Sport since then and my opinion is the same, this model the standout of the V7 range.

A&D currently have a red one in stock which is nice but not a patch on the Green

FatAL if your mate thinks Guzzis are for Oyster Bar chaps
this is Omobono Tenni aka the Black Devil so called because of his agression on a bike (and hair) in the 1930s

Looks like his brain has just exploded, and I thought my barber was bad :D

Here’s mine 🙂 Had a little wander out yesterday after fitting a pair of Mistrals. I love it, and also blame those Drizzlers of the lemon (partially) for influencing me 😃 I have the breaking strain of a Kit Kat in the desert 🙂

Nice one Tony. When did you get it? Was it from A+D motorcycles? What brand is the luggage rack? So many questions :giggle:

A&D Again :) Sally and Stew worked some magic :)

Put a Hepco and Becker rear rack on it as I liked the design better than the Guzzi, and got a deal on the leather rack bag thing. It's also got a dart flyscreen, factory heated grips (Which are shite :) ) It's just a lovely thing to ride, just grab a lid and head out for a bimble, no bluetooth to this, connect to that. I love it, with the twin front Brembo's it stops on a sixpence, and there are some quirks, like the dash may look the same as the Stone, but the Sport has a fuel gauge, the stone doesn't. Sport mode is nice, you get a bit of a burble on the overrun and the throttle does sharpen up enough to notice it. The cruise control is handy to, even though basic, it does the job to let your hand take a break for a while if needed.

very nice they are so good, you should have a look at bugmoto on youtube he's going across the US on one one.

Tony, I'm surprised at you having replaced the original silencers. The OE ones sound quite fruity to me, certainly better than the OE silencer on my V85tt. I trust the Mistrals are even better.

They are, but I've had a brain injury :) :) and truth be told they are not really needed the stock are fine. These were a cancelled order so a little bit of a saving and so I thought why not. They are about 3" shorter than the stocks and just over 1KG lighter which is not really important in the grand scheme of things.

I'm hoping I'll be able to fit some bar risers, with some pull back. An inch or so would make it perfect. According to Gutsibits they have some that will fit. A Hepco and Becker rack is needed for my pelicase as well.
I’ve got Motech risers on mine, picked them up used on eBay for a decent price.

Tony, did the bar risers fit easily, did you have to re route any cables etc? According to Gutdibits they reckon they should fit without altering anything.

Went on fine Al, no cable rerouting or alterations and was able to get what for me, is the perfect bar position. Bars go lock to lock fine and no pinch points or stretched cables / hoses 👍

It finally arrived yesterday morning, two months after ordering it. It wasn't A+Ds fault, it seems Piaggio have had some issues with the logistics company they use for distributing bikes. I've had the following fitted by the dealer; a centre stand, heated grips, fuel tank pads, engine protection bars and the under seat USB port. I've only done 60 miles which I did with Stu, Brut33 of this parish. I've now got to fit a front 'Fenda Extenda', a rear hugger and a Givi luggage rack.
(photo subject to world wide copyright Brut33) Giles he isn't) :D PS. I forgot to mention I also fitted SW motech handlebar risers ably assisted by the work experience lad :D

Congratulations on the new Sport! I can see it will benefit from a front fender extension, almost every motorcycle nowadays needs one. That would make quite a versatile motorcycle with a luggage rack along with removable shield and panniers.

I must admit, when I rode up to your house yesterday I was a bit worried because I thought you'd bought a horse.:D

It was certainly a nice sunny day to have a new bike delivered. The photos don't do it justice, much nicer in the flesh. A ride with a stop at a pub for fish and chips and Guinness 0.0 ensued.
My turn to get the lunch in on Friday, Knott End beckons.

I'm getting one of these View attachment 501692

I've decided that due to my arthritic hips and knees my V85tt is too big for me. I've been struggling to get on and off for a while now. It saddens me as once I'm on it's very comfortable. When I first saw the V7 Sport with it's retro verdi Leg wotsit yellowy green colour I fell in love with it's looks. So I had a nice long demo ride from A+D motorcycles at Denbigh and was smitten. It certainly feels smaller and lighter than the V85, but it's so easy to get on and off. I was impressed by it's agility and mid range torque, and it's certainly fast enough for me. It handled the twisty Welsh roads with aplomb (i had to look that up)
I'm expecting to get it early June.
I'll have some 'oe' Moto Guzzi Urban Panniers for sale soon, a larger windscreen and some other odds and sods. I'll post as and when I strip them off the bike
Interesting to see how you get on Al. I had to give up last year after having to dive off my V85TT due to dodgy hips locking up every 30 mins. Despite the V85 being the most comfortable bike I've owned (out of 27 🫨) considered a ADV350 just so I could still have a 2 wheel fix, but the seat is wide, maybe a V7 is an option.......and I love a Guzzi
