2027 Sardinia/Corsica trip.

Already planning our 2027 holiday.
A blast down to Toulon (via Chunnel)...overnight ferry to Port Torres....Arbatax for a couple of nights....back over to Corsica for a couple of nights and then leisurely ride North to Rotterdam and home. 14 or 15 days in total.

So our route is sorted. Hotels and final locations we will sort over the winter nights. The main thing is to get the ferry crossings booked.

Day 1. Head down to Le shuttle for early afternoon crossing to crack off a few miles in France and overnight stay in the St.Quentin area.
Day 2. Around 310 miles down to somewhere below Dijon.
Day 3. Down to Toulon for the 9pm ferry to Port Torres.
Day 4. Head SW to Arbatax for a 2 night stay.
Day 6. North along the coast road towards Porto San Paolo.
Day 7. Continue along the coast to Santa Teresa Gallura for afternoon ferry to Corsica and a 2 night stay in the Bonifacio area..
Day 9. Ride the entire length of Corsica on the East side to Bastia for the overnight ferry to Savona.
Day 10. Head North to Chur, Switzerland. Here we plan to stay the first night, and on the second day take the Bernina Express to Tirano for an overnight stay.
Day 12. Bernina Express back to Chur for a second overnight stay.
Day 13. Head North, not sure where to yet but possibly Luxembourg.
Day 14. Final day on European soil to Rotterdam for the overnight ferry back to UK.

We did Corsica first last year, sailing from Genoa which was a pretty cool place.

On Corsica, I strongly recommend the coast road from Saint-Florent to Calvi. We stayed in Calvi for just one night. Very nice by the harbour.

On Sardinia, Santa Teresa Gallura and Tortoli were very nice.

Lots of great riding on both islands.

If it works for you, the Black Forest is worth riding through on the B500, and of course, you could tick of some Alpine passes on the way down or back.

Thanks. We have done Corsica twice before and have done the Calvi-St Florent route in both directions..and had lunch at Calvi harbour both times! Looking forward to the Tortoli/St.Teresa route. We will be doing the Splugen Pass on the way North..and the B500 we have done on numerous occasions...so will be giving that area a miss next year.
