Hi, I've fitted a pair of 10W Led daylight driving lamps, aka DRL's, to my 2006 GS1200.
I've fitted 3 sets of these already to other bikes, all operated via a switch, and the front sidelamp circuit.
This time I've just removed the capless bulb holder, and wired in both lamps, into the loom. Everything working fine, no canbus errors or anything, they switch on with the ignition like the standard single bulb, only difference is I can't switch them off: but on my other bikes I never had any need to do so!
1.6A as opposed to 0.4A, I used 5A wire, all seems to be working, and a very simple job to do, didnt remove a single panel, there's a pair of waterproof connectots tucked inside the fairing, so I can still easily remove the crash bars, should the need arise.
I'm sure lots of people will say A/ it needs a relay and B/ needs a switch and fuse...but 1.6A ???
