I was thinking of doing it...

I intend to buy the proper spacers for the brace (BMW) and lower the forks just enough to better "balance" the bike because of the increase in height due to the 1" inch difference (21" vs 19").

What do you think? Is it something doable and someone has already done it ?

Thanks

Can't see any reason why you shouldn't do this mod. The 21" is better off road than a 19", but vice-versa on tarmac. so I guess it depends where your going to spend most of your time when riding the bike.

I would suggest though 'before' lowering the front, that you make sure the bigger wheel is not going to make contact with the radiator

If this happens, there are a few ways to correct the suspension issues.
1, fit a 650 Dakar rear shock. though this might raise the rear just a little too much.
2, fit shorter 'dog bones'. though these may need to be custom made.
3, fit Dakar stanchions to match the Dakar rear shock.
4, sell the bike and buy a Dakar.

Val.
