Just got back to Nottingham from the Adventure Travel Film Festival in Appledore on the F650GS and it took me two full tanks of petrol o cover the 240 miles. Okay I was fully loaded and gunning it much of the way, but it still seems excessive. I used to get over 200 miles from a full tank; today it was about 115 miles.

The flat spot at 4100rpm has also come back. Today in sixth it was losing power on the hills at around 4100. Feels like it is choking up. Getting the revs either above or below that spot sorts the problem. It plagued me all round Turkey last year and cleared up after the latest software update. Now it seems to be back, which is worrying as I'm heading off to Russia in about 7 weeks.

Does anyone think the two things may be connected? Has anyone had a similar problem?

Cheers.

That is a sick bike mate. Even fully loaded at 85mph I was getting over 190 to the tank, so you definitely have a problem.

Time for a dealer visit I supect...
