I have one - 2025 , BUT , no plans to sell it. Don't have any comfort issues , but only have about 7500 miles on it. I just bought a new one - clearly few of the newer (twin disc) models about then ... should be some more about now , but what's the saving ? £1000 to £1500 ??. 78 real mpg so far - but rear tyre dead at 6500 miles (Underrated yes , exciting .... no )
I rode a new test bike NC750X DCT last Saturday, along with the ADV350 scooter and the new retro styled CB1000, could have tested the DCT Goldwing as well, but I didn't trust myself with it and anyway its well beyond my pay grade.
Getting to the point, NC is okay, okay a bit boring really, but it went okay and when I topped the tank it only cost me about £4.50 so it certainly economical.

What did you think of the CB1000 and ADV350 you tried?
I wanted to like the ADV 350, in fact I was thinking of buying one and it has got such good reports on here, two things I didn't like, terrible buffeting off the screen and I appreciate either a low or high screen would probably sort that out ,secondly the suspension was not good either, and I guess that could be sorted out with a bit of adjustment (rear) or upgrading, but it has put me off. DCT was perfect, but then I've had Honda DCT's before.
CB1000F I did like a lot (apart from the quick shift, but maybe that was me, as I'm a bit old school and not that fond of quick shifts in general, but It wasn't that smooth for me, so just left it to the clutch lever, otherwise, it goes well, standard exhaust sound great, handles great and reminded me how nice a 4 cylinder engine can be. But I have no intention of buying one.
I have actually tested the the Goldwing DCT and the Bagger version before and if I had the cash I'd probably buy one, but for the weight and damage to be caused if by chance I dropped one.

I would go for the comfort seat bar risers and a peg lowering kit to get it comfy for me
When the original NC was first produced, all those years as a 700, it was a budget bike.
The clocks, cockpit area and suspension are still where the pennies are saved but overall they're good bikes. I've had two, a 2013,and a 2024 and found them to be comfortable.
Good reliable bikes just let down by cheap suspension which was the reason for selling the last one.

Absolutely, I'm on number 6.

How much do you weigh ?
I found the stock suspension just fine , riding two up on mountain roads.
I'm assuming you're talking about the mountain roads in Gran Canaria where the roads are super smooth?
Try doing a similar ride on UK roads, I guarantee your pillion won't want to get on the back again.
Did about 400 miles on the NC in GC, and whilst most of the roads are smooth, they ain’t all perfect .
Though obviously nothing like the shite in UK. Though to be honest, what bike does have adequate suspension for the UK ?
