Having successfully created and transferred a route to my 2610 from my PC, I'm puzzled about how to 're-open' the route to edit it and put in some more waypoints.

Come to that, I can't even see the 2610 listed on the devices under 'My Computer', even though it's switched on and has just received a route.

Any sensible advice???

I don't think that you can edit a route that's in the 2610.

If you haven't saved the route on your PC, upload it from the 2610, edit and rename it, and download it again.

Assuming you are not at the start point of the route, I'd do the following:

Switch on & immediately select 'Use Indoors'.

Open the route in the 2610; activate it, then select 'Route'; 'Add or Edit Via Points'; add the points, then get it to recalculate; once it has finished, save the route.

You should now have all the original route's via points and the new ones you've just entered.

If you want to put extra via points in, but maintain the exact route otherwise, you're going to have to do it on the PC.

An alternative is to do it'on the hoof' - ie in the middle of the route, get the 2610 to calculate a route to a new point, then resume the saved route after you've arrived and steer back to intercept it.

Hope that makes sense...

Ta!

I shall try both methods.

It took me down some very interesting little tracks on ym way back from Lewes to Southampton this afternoon. MInd you, I did include Petworth and Midhurst and Petersfield on the route.

And isn't it clever at finding you new directions when you deliberately wander off course??

Top toy!!!!!!!!!!!!
