2610 headset lead

Honest I have looked through the forum but just got more confused.
My speaker-earplugs have a walkman type jack-plug. Does this fit into the Garmin 2610 to enable voice prompts in the helmet or do I need to get something else?
Promise I will stop asking dumb questions soon.

Depends on the size of theh jack on your head phones. The "standards" are 2.5 and 3.5 mm. If yours doesn't fit, pop down to Maplins and buy an adapter (couple of quid max) that move it to/from 2.5 <-> 3.5 mm..

As you can tell, I've forgotten which size the lead socket is - doh.

But maybe your real question is "if I get it connected will I have voice directions?" to which the answer is a resounding "YES".
