2610 Map for Guernsey?

Firstly, as somebody who reads but never posts, can I say a big thank you to everybody who contributes to this board. As a result of the information on this site I bought a 2610 from Aspid six months ago. Since then I've been using it every day for work and it's been great.

Although the interface for looking up addresses on the unit could be better, and the 'fastest route' isn't always the fastest for some reason, on the whole it saves me a lot of time and is a pleasure to use.

Anyway, on with the question. (I've already done a search and can't find anything about it on here.) I'm going to Guernsey this summer and tried to install the map for it the other day.

I installed the France section from the CD onto my PC, as the Guernsey map tile seems to be in the France section rather than the British Isles section.

However, whilst I've now got all of France available in MapSource, Guernsey is still completely blank. So is this because Guernsey hasn't been mapped yet, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Dave The Lurker

What maps are you using in Mapsource.

In City Select Europe V7 you get lots of detail...

Looks like I've got European City Navigator V6. Maybe I need to update...

Thanks, Dave

Doh! I registered my unit with Garmin when I bought it back in October, so no free upgrade for me. $150 + VAT to upgrade seems a bit much for a few days holiday. Looks like Betty will be staying at home then. Now, where did I leave my road atlas?

Dave.

Guernsey

Why bother with the maps, the islands so small you don't need one. Start on the coast run pick a side lane and have fun. beware the large granite walls and Volvos. police are bored so will nick you for speeding ( 25mph in places in summer).
