2610 map transfer help...please

Hi all, just tried to add the selected maps from computer and transfer as normal via the usb connection, usual notice making file index of maps or somthing like it,then it started to transfer and then stopped giving me a notice to paste into notepad and inform Garmin.The gps still works but has no detailed maps on it at all and if i go through the process again i have a warning about erasing the maps that are installed by Garmin? Not had this before 2610 is 2yrs old with CN ver 6 and software ver 4.60 installed.
Anyone had anything like this ? please any help appreciated

Have you tried downloading the maps via a card reader? Saves any worry about wiping out the basemap. But I'd be surprised if you could anyway.

Thanks John, job done via the card reader it was infact corrupt info on the CFCard wiped it clean now back to normal.
