Whats it to be???? Any Help?

Looking on GPSW and both about the same price. Have a TomTom 910 in the motor and love it.

Had a SPIII and liked it. Processor was a bit slow though.!

What do you guys think?

Well, the 2610 comes with FULL European mapping.

It also comes with Mapsource so you can do your route plannig onthe PC, unlike the Tom Tom.

Tom Tom charge more for European maps, ISTR.

You can get a 2610 for around £200 these days.

All you'll need to add is the bike mount (around £30) and the bits from RAM (also around £30).

You can get a 2GB CF card for under £40 which means you can dump ALL the maps onto the 2610 if you're happy route planning that way.

Oh, and it's waterproof.

And the mount works and doesn't bugger up the electrical connections unlike the Tom Tom mount.

At the prices being quoted for the 2610 - you can't go wrong. :thumb

But.......... have a look at the other threads on the 2610 and TomTom on the screen (you've not got far to go).

Al :D

Thanks for the quick replies......I suspected that Garmin would be the way forward....did not realise that the 22610 is waterproof either....Bonus :thumb

Apparently the 2610 can withstand a minimum of submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes (it's some sort of recognised test standard for waterproofing of electrical kit). The Rider has been tested by directing a spray of water at it from what I recall reading, slightly less scientific.

2610 every time-price when i bought mine in 2003 about £650.00 now i here they cost about £200.00.mine has taken me all over europe without fail. be sure to buy 2gb card.download all of europe and enjoy. :thumb
