2nd Numpty question from a GPS Virgin!

Ok, I have my 2610 which at present has a 256mb flash card. If I want / need to store all of the UK + Europe on ONE FLASH CARD, just how big does it need to be?

Depends what version of the mapping software you're running and if you want route calculation or not. Earlier versions are smaller than the later ones.

City Navigator V.8 = 216 maps, 1809.5Mb incl route calculation data, 1188.6Mb without

City Navigator V.9 = 600 maps, 2214.1Mb incl route calcualtion data, 1430.9Mb without

How do the numbers you quote in your post translate into Gigabytes? (thought I told you I was a GPS Virgin, & an IT one to boot!) BTW have V.9.

1000meg = 1Gig

No real need to put all of europe on in one go unless you're doing the grand tour and planning on visiting everywhere in one trip!

I just stuck the countries on I'd be visiting or passing through on my trip to Garmisch this year...

Mystic, your 2610 may not like a high speed card, you only want a standard speed one, nothing flash, ok!
