3.5mm extension lead?

Will a 3.5mm stereo extension lead (socket one end, jack plug on other) work with my mono quest output and mono headphone???

The stereo leads seem to much easier to find than mono leads!!

I use a curly stereo extension lead with mine, works fine with my mono one sided over the ear jobbie (£5 from Maplin). It even gives mono out on both sides with stereo ear buds but they don't allow the wearing of earplugs.

Not sure if the stereo poles would match up to mono poles but mono male and female jacks are dead easy to find - about 10p each in my local electrical store

ahh but i wanted one with a plug on one end and socket on other!!

I could have got the lead mentioned and used a male / female convertor (that was one of my initial plans) but my local maplin only had metal adaptors which i was worried may damage the paint.....

so.....
i went for the stero lead and it works fine
