3 Counties, 3 Stop Coffee Run 01/06

Where's that then?

Might tag along. I live close (ish) to Loomies so the start can't be that far away. Can't find it on Google Maps though.

Try multimap.co.uk and use the postcode GU4 8SE that gets you quite close.

I'll see you there:bounce1

Ahh, I see it. Off the A25 nr Guildford. http://tinyurl.com/4svw3m

Mebbe :)

I'll have to see if I can get a pass (or bring her with me).

Cheers

I hope you ride fast two up...........PJ doesn't hang around......:D

You could always ride as 'Tailgate Charlie',,,:augie

Joke, see you there........but he does ride like the wind-lets hope it's a calm day......:thumb

Who, Me?....never  :augie

I rode the amended route last weekend and god was it windy. A lot of debris on the roads. Weathers looking ok for sunday so should be ok.

This won't be a 'balls out blat' around the countryside. There will be sections where you can pick up the pace and do some lovely sunday driver overtakes, but please err on the side of caution on the single track stuff.
I don't usually encounter much oncoming traffic, but being a sunday there will probably be alot of horse riders, cyclist and walkers out especially if the weathers nice, so watch out on those blind bends. These are all metal roads, no dirt tracks but watch out for the loose gravel that can build up on these roads. It can be quite heavy in places.

Please, ride within your limits and stay safe :thumb2
and it would be advisable to fill up before we leave Newlands as there aren't many fuel stops on route.

For anyone wishing to go for a 'Balls out Blat', im pretty sure the 'Capn's Ring' will be open for business when we get back to Newlands :ymca:D.

Surely that's not an issue for people with the superior German 220+ mile GS tank range? ;)

Nice moderate ride then-that's good and makes a pleasant change from blatting...

Talking of the infamous Captn's ring- The Captain's ring had a head on collision this week with two cars on the first hairpin going up from Shere-.......it happened about a minute in front of me on one of my blats to Boxhill......made me think...:eek

...Had some white van numpty cut his right hand corner into my side of the road today on a wet, oily road on the way to SLM. Lucky it was a 30mph area.

Sounds like a good idea to me too! :thumb2 Looking forward to it :bounce1

Have a great, safe ride.
