I'd like to buy 30" display to go with my G5 powermac. I use it for my home business of graphic design and need something bigger than my 19" formac lcd monitor so i can see full spreads at a larger size. There doesn't seem to be much out there to compete with the 30" Apple cinema display.

Has anyone got the apple one? is it any good? have you had any problems?

Anyone else use any other brands? Are they better or cheaper?

Would value any feedback before I fork out £1000

'Fraid my widget wallet doesn't run to that. But, last time I was in the AppleStore, there was a bloke trying out a huge monitor with some stuff that he'd obviously brought along with him for the purpose - Mr AppleMan was being very helpful, so you could try that?

23" one here - works a treat.

Check your video card can drive a 30" one though. It needs to be a 'Dual-Link DVI' card as there's too much screen for a single link to cope with. It doesn't need dual cables, but there's more pins alive on a dual link dvi plug.
