It’s no lightweight bike
IndeedIt is compared to my 1600.

Indeed
But at 200kgs wet - the 450 Himalayan is no lightweight 450cc bike
A Kove Rallye 450 would be a better Chinese proposal
This is a lightweight 400-450cc dual purpose bike128kg fuelled and 35bhp+ …. That was 22 years ago
Bikes just got heavier to pamper to market trendiness

EasyYou’re missing the point , as usual .
Try riding a Kove 450 or your old Honda dinosaur to Spain and back and be in any fit state to go off road when you get there .
Easy
Kove 450 Rallye - Tetley here nearly a 1000miles on his around Scotland, in February
Never missed a beat
Adventure is a state of mind not a bike
The new Himalayan 450 is the best - Cos your buying one![]()

ill let you know! You’re missing the point , as usual .

Time will tellYou’re.
Never said it’s the best but it’s the best for my needs. Now bugger off back under your bed .![]()
Good InnitIt’s worth 12 quid to read on here when JB says the himmies not a lightweight ( correct by the way) then the last post features the bike described as a baby elephant…….priceless.
197 kg’s fuelled
I couldn’t believe it, until I read the MCN test yesterdayFlippin’ ‘eck! That’s about the same as a 950 super enduro!
My 640 Adventure is a racing snake at 175kg wet.
I mean all the best fellas but that’s a big ‘no’ from me.
Made out of pigI couldn’t believe it, until I read the MCN test yesterday
In my head I thought it would be 160/170kg fuelled from a 450cc single
My Tenere 700 is a twin and is only 7kg more than this new 450 RE - at 204 kg fuelled
Where do RE get all their weight from ?
It’s engine is half the size of my Tenere for a start
We’re in the Highlands this week and I am on my XR 400 with a mate on his DRZ 400 ‘E’ version and that does punt out over 40 hp and is water cooled and weighs less than 135kg fuelled
He’s had up to 90 (private road) on the clock with an extra tooth on front sprocket this week
Progress eh? In 20 years
