Good for you!

That is very encouraging, but not in my experience unexpected. I only seem to manage about 4000 kms a year so it looks as if my 2008 GS will still be going strong in twelve years time - but I am afraid that I intend to retire from motorcycling before then, or at least buy a smaller bike when I am 90. Happy New Year to all.

My '04 has just hit 80k kms and I enjoyed each one of them, except the first 1800 which were by the p.o. Will buy a replacement when I see a better bike!

Mines an 05 which had 13k on Aug last. Now has 22k and apart from a service nothing untoward. I like my 1200.

After buying and running a few "high mileage" bikes over the last few years, I see no reason why a well maintained bike shouldn't cover 100,000 miles.

But being brought up on a diet of small two strokes, it still makes my clutch hand twitch when I see more than 10,000miles on a bike.

It's always reassuring to know that the bikes ARE capable of it...

just over 48,000 on an 05 1200gs have had both gearbox seals replaced under warrenty, and i will clean it one day not been clean in 2009 no piont in the winter as its used ever day, will see what falls off when it gets cleaned in the summer. i just love using it,

When you're in the US, I would recommend that you tour the Colorado-Montana-Wyoming-Idaho area and be sure to go through Yellowstone Park.
