Hey Sarge,

When you're in the US, I would recommend that you tour the Colorado-Montana-Wyoming-Idaho area and be sure to go through Yellowstone Park.

If you make it through Boulder Colorado, drop by Mile High Gliding at the Boulder airport. I'm the Operations Manager there & I'll hook you up with a glider ride over the Rocky Mountains. The owner's a Brit from London, so you can share some "homey" time! I can also connect you with skydiving and hot air balloon ops if you're interested. Now he tells me `i went past Boulder last year after coming off the TAT and getting my old 1100 serviced at BMW Denver. Then rode up to Yellowstone through Wyoming and over the Beartooth. Favourite part of the world. Ride reports here;

I've spent a bit of time in Idaho and Oregon as well and it's stunning riding that's for sure!

I'm taking 10 GSers across the US in June this year and you'll see all the threads on the open invite section and it will be a great trip We'll be running up from Durango to Aspen and back out of Colorado via Salida and Trinidad. If you get up as far as Deer Lodge in Montana, let me know. I have a good friend up there who can hook you up with one of the park rangers for a "behind the scenes" tour off the normal trails

My 2004 is slacking a bit, only done 38000 miles in 5 years (being at sea a lot and now being a company car driver doesn't help).

I MIGHT change my bike for another when she reaches 80,000 miles.
