50S faulty

My 50 S sounds as though there is lots of background noise on Bluetooth. Sounds like cans are cans are rattling. I’ve tried factory reset also checked the Mike is facing the correct way.
One thought is could water have got into unit ?
Any advice appreciated

I've got 2 mates that have 50s, when either is connected to my SRL or another friends SRL the sound quality is awful (sometimes worse than others) lots of echo clicks etc, apparently there is no issue when they are used on Mesh, I also have no issues with any other Sena bluetooth only devices.

Make sure you have the latest firmware loaded

Check your Headset isn't on "Surround" or "Ambient"
Never heard of any issues with the 50S in three years. (12 units) Neither have any had any issues regarding water.
