558 Miles for Lunch...

The Hexhead GSA proved its all round ability today...

It was my Mums birthday today, she lives in Cornwall so I said I'd meet her in StMawes for Lunch.

I put straightest route in the GPS which took me down the 303 then straight across Dartmoor from Ide to Tiverton, then continued cross country to StAustel, Tregoney and down to StMawes - The big GS was great on the motorways, nice and Tourque for the endless overtakes required, fun as expected on the Moor and with that big tank no need to stop.

Lovely Lunch at the Idle Rocks, then reversed the route and now back home and an extra 558 easy miles on the bike.

Aside from the small tank, that HP2 was good on day trips to Cornwall, it did two with me...

We have been having a summer holiday in Portscatho for many years and at The Nare for our anniversary in December.

Another good but fast route uses A38 rather than A30. Even better, keep to ordinary A roads. You won't cover the same distance, but it's a better ride.
