Dispelling rumours

Well, for a start I think it is reasonable to assume that after spending £27 on a fill up that the bike would run forever.
Second, if we deal with the facts we should find that I didn't actually run out, answer these questions:-
1. Did I require any outside assistance - No
2. Did I ride to the petrol pump unaided - Yes
ERGO I could not have run out of fuel - simples
I may have temporarily stopped for a rest and decided to turn my bike upside down as part of my normal exercise routine and I can therefore see how this rumour started.
It has a reserve for the reserve, clever eh?:bounce1

Table booked at the Highwayman in name of Smith.
See you there. May even come on the 690 - provided there is a stepladder at the pub.

Verdict on the new pub?

So, what do you think?

My View -
Food - my veggie risotto was lovely, really fresh flavours, great consistency.
Price - provided you picked something off the back page reasonably priced, certainly in line or even a bit cheaper than other pubs in the area.
Ambience - bit rubbish really, felt a bit too formal. Didnt feel like they were bothered about our business.

My Verdict - try somewhere else next month.

Verdict 2

I agree with JM on the first two points but I was impressed that both la lord and lady remembered me from what must have been a year ago. Had a decent chat about pastry before u guys arrived. I suggest we use for special occasions (like to celebrate when I don't run out of fuel next!)

I thought it was OK. Nice pie, but they forget to put the top on. Probably on account of they're French, and so don't know about pies. And, Possu turned down the chips I offered him so his portion of boiled weeds must have been substantial.
