6 days in France 🇫🇷 in Sept 25

Maybe take a couple of extra days and go visit Cinque Terres?
Often missed by 'tarmac noses' !
Not heard about those before (although I have visited the Genoa coast before)
Unfortunately the 6 days are pretty fixed as it was a BF special offer, so on this occasion is too far

Or chuck your mid size bikes in a van and do the gravel Alps passes.

I will be doing them again this year, I have not been for a while now.
Thanks
But booked the bigger >1000cc bikes this trip
Another time in the Tenere though

👍
Last time I went to Ile de Ré was 1985 - so after 40 years I am maybe due a re-visit
I had a couple of nights in st Martin de Rey . Very nice. Spent a day walking around and drinking beer. A bad job, but someone has to do it.

I prefer the spoken (written) word from fellow GS’ers

Yes I have done a lot of France (and most of Europe) since the 1980’s etc …..but nothing for last 6 years whatsoever (due to the Covid years & looking after my aged Mum, until recently) so pretty rusty on accommodation front and places that I might have missed altogether /not seen fully and hence the question

Volcane region is a good shout, as is CF area

Me in 1997 in the Ardeché, on my first GS - bought new 6 weeks earlier & en route to Bol D’Or

You haven't changed much JB :-)

And not compatible with a Yorkshire purse. I looked at the Ile but hotel prices are a bit salty. Found a place in the Old Town of La Rochelle
Oh I don’t know. I stayed last may. £165 for two nights b and b

Ile d'Oleron is much cheaper but the smaller Ile de Noiemoutier is quieter...All fairly close and the Pineau de Charente is fabulous. I could eat my way round France 🤣
Eglade de moules on the Ile d'Oleron,
Mussels cooked on a pine plank under flamed pine needles!

Let us know if you ride it and / or better still, enjoy it.

Take a day off between days two and three or, better still, ride around on the D roads, south and east of Angoulême.

I will and we’ll discuss your plan, in detail

I fancy Auvergne areas too
