I checked on this before I got my NT. It’s as stated, get the bike serviced by Honda dealer each year/milage and the warranty is extended a year. I’m sure there’ll be all sorts of wriggles by the more unscrupulous dealers, but it looks simple.

If it’s a Honda warranty there should be no need for anyone to wriggle JJH

Do keep up. I posted this ages ago, when comparing bikes for a new purchase. Suzuki have had something similar only 7 years for ages.

As for dealers not honouring the deal, it won't be their decision ultimately as it is a scheme backed by Honda UK so your recourse is with them as it is in addition to normal consumer rights

You have a lot more faith in humanity than me.
I’ve heard a couple of stories about shocking behaviour from some Honda dealers recently. This is surprising as my dealer is very good.

Well I hope they are not taking notes from the Honda car warranty, they wriggle loads!

I would only advise when taking it in for a problem, put the bike back to stock, not even a sidestand enlarger.

If not the problem is clearly because you have x accessory on your bike

I did have a bit of a problem with my nt. the screen was not functioning and the Honda people in Ireland had never heard of such a thing despite it being well documented on the web. I was sent on 2 wild goose trips to try and resolve the issue. A new screen was eventually installed. Apparently the screen manufacturer was just replacing each with an upgraded one. Left a bit of a bad taste. I thought that the warranty issue was just related to the Republic of Ireland. I now have a V85tt. JJH

I bought a 2023 Africa twin 1100 with the deal, which included the 3 year warranty 3 services 3 year recovery had the bike serviced by them then started to notice some corrosion on the top of the frame quite common i believe rang the dealer who stated the third year warranty doesn't include paint issues only mechanical so don't tell me they don't wriggle out of what they can.

Have you spoken with or written to Honda directly?

Perhaps said dealer can’t be bothered with taking the bike apart, as it’ll fill his workshop with loose parts and god knows when he’ll be able to reassemble it all.
Worth having ago with another Honda dealer in my opinion.
You do not have to go for warranty work to a supplying dealer.
As a matter of fact vehicle warranty is valid worldwide. At least that’s what I believe to be the case.

Yep, I spoke to Honda, who referred me back to the dealer and stated I had to go through them and again told cant do it. You're right I got the impression the dealer didn't want to replace the frame. I'm looking at getting someone to touch it up with primer and paint. I was disappointed with Honda as I've had 3 Africa twins but not surprised.
